The Staffordshire Band Welcome New Signings on Euphonium Seats

The band are delighted to announce two new signings in the Euphonium section ahead of the Midlands Area contest in February.

Bethan Brown has re-joined the band on the Principal Euphonium seat after a sabbatical for work purposes. From the age of 14, Beth was playing Baritone with The GUS Band. She went on to gain a first-class honours degree from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and has played with The Leyland Band and Flowers Band. Read Beth’s full biography here.

Bo-Rong Li is joining us on 2nd Euphonium to cover the seat for the forthcoming Area contest. Hailing from Chiayi, Taiwan, Bo-Rong is currently studying for a Master of Music (MMus) at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under Chris Robertson. Read Bo-Rong’s full biography here.

“We are delighted to welcome Bethan back to the band. We would like to thank Bo-Rong for covering the Principal Euphonium seat over the past three months and agreeing to step in to fill the 2nd Euphonium seat for the forthcoming Area contest. Both players are extremely talented musicians and will be a huge asset to the band.”
