Pete comes from a Salvation Army background with over 50 years experience and has been playing cornet for the last 40 years. Now professionally retired, Pete had previously served 20 years with British Coal IT and with the demise of the coal fields moved to the heavy goods vehicle transport industry. The band’s MD, Craig Williams, asked Pete to join the Staffordshire Band in the Summer of 2021, having played with him in the Salvation Army’s West Midlands Fellowship Band. Pete has found Craig to be a great mentor and friend and values his positive Christian influence and wealth of banding experience. He loves playing regularly with with such a fine group of musicians and seeing the rewards of such a focussed and friendly band. He considers it a highlight of his musical career.
