Cornets

Repiano Cornet

Claire always wanted to play the Saxophone like Lisa Simpson so at aged 9 was sent to her local band in Wiltshire, to learn. Being a brass band she was handed a cornet.  After a bet with her dad to keep it up for at least a year she won her saxophone but continued playing cornet.  Claire played Soprano cornet for a few years and also spent a couple of years on Baritone while undertaking some dental work. Years later she went on to study to become a primary school teacher in Birmingham and played with the Shirley Band and Sovereign Brass mainly occupying the Repiano seat. Claire is happy to be playing more locally again with the Staffordshire band after recently playing for the Flowers Band in Gloucester.
