Bev began her musical journey on recorder and clarinet, moving to drums by accident when the Walsall Metropolitan Band advertised ‘young musicians wanted’ for their junior band…she could read music and they hadn’t got a drummer! For six months her Dad sat next to her on the drum kit in the band room and she hasn’t looked back since.
Bev went on to study orchestral percussion, latin percussion as well as drum kit at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. Throughout her life she has played with many different brass bands, orchestras, jazz groups, theatre groups and now also enjoys accompanying various singer/songwriters that she has been asked to work with.
