Bethan began playing the baritone at just 7 years of age. By 14 she was playing for the GUS band winning 3 Midlands area championships and appearing at the National Finals in London.
Bethan was also the principal baritone at award winning Youth Brass 2000 and the National children’s Brass band of Great Britain. Later progressing to the principal seat at the Nationals Youth Brass Band.
Bethan studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire gaining a first class degree in music performance. Alongside her degree Bethan enjoyed playing for Leyland Band and frequently helping out the Flowers Band.
After graduating Bethan moved onto euphonium and most recently played solo euphonium for the winning performance at the 2022 Midlands Area. Bethan is excited to continue her euphonium journey with The Staffordshire Band.
